My November Post :)

Well here I am, almost midnight, and posting my monthly update......

Well..just finished watching the season finale of Dancing with the Stars and am pretty darn happy that DONNY OSMOND won!! yay!!! he and John Travolta were my idols growing up :)
(ok I am showing my age now!! LOL).

Ok onto the kids...

Olivia... keeping me busy! Monday night she has afterschool French homework program at her school, Tuesday nights are Brownies, Thursday night she has afterschool soccar, and Saturdays she has swimming.....Phew!! :) She is doing ok in school, just needing extra french help and reading in both languages. Her first real report of grade 2 comes in a little over a week.
Next month I start planning her 8th birthday party... OMG 8 ALREADY!! :( I am throwing her a swimming party at the YMCA with 8 of her closest friends. She is really looking forward to it!

Ricky...also keeping me busy but in other areas. He has private weekly swim lessons and its doing great for his low muscle tone :) He also has weekly occupational therapy at the McKay center. He loves school but is showing signs of stress as the year goes on and more work is being done. Its hard for him with his developmental dyspraxia and low muscle tone issues, particularly in fine motor, but his school is offering good services. He gets speach therapy, resource time and shares an aide with one other special needs person in his class. He is an amazing trooper :) and one sweet little boy :)

Danny....hmmm.... well school could be better. He failed two out of the four main subjects he needs to pass. He barely made a overall pass of 60% (passing mark). Hoping he improves by next term or he is at risk of failing or at least going to summer school for two cources (french and math and maybe english). Danny is no longer into sports, just NASCAR and racing onling :( But at least he is not into drugs.....and at 14 I am happy for that!

As for me....I am busy with life in general!! I volunteer once a week at Danny's high school, and 3-4 times a week at Olivia and Ricky's school (including once a week in the kindergarten). I am on the elementary school governing board and home and school association (as well as the high school's but I am not active in that one). Plus Ricky's regular doctor's appt's and weekly therapy sessions.... but I do keep my MONDAYS free... those are MY days :)

Christmas shopping is done, in time for me to start saving for Olivia's big birthday party!

Anyway that is all for now.....hope to write before the holidays but if I can't, wishing you all a great Christmas and terrific new year :)
